Applying for a certificated position with the Evergreen School District is a (3) three step application process; a Certificated Application Profile, review the current openings and electronically submit your name to be added to the list of applicants for that position, and review the "Other Requirements" section to ensure that you have submitted all the required documents and information. You may also be required to fill out an on-line questionnaire if the Job Opening requires one.

Step 1 - The Certificated Application Profile
You may update your Certificated Application Profile and attach your resume as often as you need to in order to keep your information current.
Attaching a Resume to General Application
To attach a resume to a Certificated Application Profile, it must first be saved in .txt (ASCII) or .doc (Microsoft Word) format. The Evergreen School District will not accept resumes in any other format. To attach a resume to your application, click the browse button within the Certificated Application Profile and locate your resume file on your machine and select it. The filename should appear in the window on the General Application. If you do not have a resume in .txt (ASCII) or .doc (Microsoft Word) format, you may send a hard copy separately to the Evergreen School District:

Step 2 - Current Job Openings and Applying for a Specific Position
To add your name to the list of candidates for a certificated position ensure you have completed Step 1 by creating a Certificated Applicant Profile. Review our Current Job Openings and submit your name for that particular job by clicking on the 'Click Here To Apply For This Job !' link at the top of the Job Opening.
If there is no specific job in which you are interested, stop after completing and submitting the Certificated Applicant Profile in step 1. Once the mandatory Certificated Applicant Profile is completed, you may return to the web site and apply for a position immediately or at any other time in the future.
Step 3 - Other Requirements
Other requirements and items that are needed for employment with the Evergreen School District are listed below. To apply online for a position, an applicant need only complete steps 1 and 2 listed above. The items listed below may be obtained and submitted after the online application has been completed and submitted.
- To be considered for a certified position, the following items must be on file in the Personnel office:
1. A letter of interest (One general letter that will apply to ANY position you apply for). 2. Resume 3. Current Washington Certificate or evidence that application for Certification has been made. 4. College Placement File or three (3) letters of recommendation. 5. Copy of College Transcripts 6. Copy of PRAXIS II Test Results (if taken)
- Interviews will be conducted by persons designated by the Director of Personnel.
- New employees are required to have a recent State and national background check to validate the contract if hired.
- Upon acceptance of a contract, the applicant must provide:
A complete set of official transcripts and college placement file, or 3 Letters of Recommendation.
A valid Washington teaching certificate is required to validate the contract, if hired. (How do I get a WA State Teaching Certificate?)
